About Pam Rickard

This is my fourth year at El Camino Middle School as an 8th grade teacher of math and science.  I really love the subjects I'm teaching, especially the science.  I enjoy going into the lab to test science theories.  I'm very excited about the work my students are doing in their teams, especially in math.  They really help each other and two heads can be better than one!

When I am not teaching, I enjoy surfing and hiking.  I really like spending quiet time in nature.  I am very interested in the conservation of wildlife.  I support the rangers in the Democratic Republic of Congo who watch over the endangered mountain gorillas.  I hope to visit the gorillas this summer in Rwanda.  I also hope to work at a sustainable village in the Ruzizi Valley, DRC while I'm there.
